Why do Japanese eat raw eggs?
Japanese eggs are safe to eat raw and it is quite common for people to eat raw eggs.
“Tamago Kake Gohan” (raw egg on rice) is a popular Japanese breakfast menu and people eat Sukiyaki dipped in raw egg. (It may sound odd or yuck to some, but they are quite nice! Try them in Japan when you have a chance.)

It’s less than a month before Christmas, and you may be thinking of a Christmas cake.
Here in New Zealand, where I live, it’s common to have a rich fruit cake for Christmas.
